< 5 minutes

Prerequisites

  • Okta SAML SSO already configured and enforced for your organization

  • Administrator permissions in both AutoRFP.ai and Okta

  • Access to AutoRFP.ai Integrations settings

  • Understanding of Okta application management

‼️ Important: You must complete Okta SSO setup before configuring IDP-initiated SSO. See How to Configure SAML SSO with Okta article if not yet configured.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Locate IDP SSO URL in AutoRFP

  1. Navigate to Organizational Settings > Integrations in AutoRFP.

  2. Locate the Okta SSO section.

  3. Find the IDP SSO URL field.

  4. Copy the URL to your clipboard.

Note: This URL is unique to your organization and enables IDP-initiated authentication.

Step 2: Access Okta Application Catalog

  1. Log in to your Okta admin console.

  2. Navigate to the Applications page.

  3. Click Browse App Catalog.

Step 3: Find Bookmark App

  2. URL: Paste the IDP SSO URL you copied from AutoRFP

  3. Review other optional settings as needed

  4. Click Done or Save

Step 5: Assign Users to Bookmark App

  1. In the Okta Bookmark App settings, navigate to the Assignments tab.

  2. Click Assign > Assign to People or Assign to Groups.

  3. Select the users or groups who should have access to AutoRFP.

  4. Click Assign and then Done.

Step 6: Verify User Access

  1. Log in to Okta as a test user (or have a user test).

  2. Check the Okta dashboard for the AutoRFP bookmark app.

  3. Click the bookmark app icon.

  4. Verify it redirects to AutoRFP and triggers Okta sign-on flow.

  5. Confirm successful authentication and access to AutoRFP.

💡 Tips & Best Practices

  • Assign all AutoRFP users to the Bookmark App

  • Use Okta groups for easier management of large user bases

  • Sync user assignments between the SAML app and Bookmark App

  • Configuring IDP SSO before completing SAML SSO setup—IDP URL won't be available
