Prerequisites

  • Administrator or Content Manager permissions in AutoRFP

  • Access to Confluence account with appropriate permissions

  • Confluence admin approval (may be required for some organizations)

  • Confluence subdomain name


Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Create a Confluence Connection

When importing from Confluence, you link AutoRFP to your Confluence account. Each account you link is called a connection.

  1. Navigate to your AutoRFP dashboard and select Add Content.

  2. Select Import Documentation.

  3. Click Activate an Integration and select Confluence. The integration will automatically appear if you've activated the integration in your Organizational Settings.

  4. Enter the subdomain of your Confluence account.

  5. Click Connect or Confirm.


Step 2: Grant Permissions

  1. You will be redirected to Confluence to grant necessary permissions.

  2. Review the requested permissions.

  3. Click Accept or Approve to grant AutoRFP access to your Confluence content.


Step 3: Select Content to Import

  1. Navigate back to AutoRFP after granting permissions.

  2. Browse through your Confluence content in the page selector.

  3. Select the pages you want to import.

  4. Click Select or Import to confirm your selection.

‼️ Please note: The Confluence integration currently does not support nested pages or folder structures. The integration works only with individual pages and their direct subpages.

If your Confluence space contains deeper levels of nested pages or organized folders, those structures will not be recognized or imported by the integration.

To ensure proper functionality, content should be accessed and connected at the individual page level or through immediate subpages only.


Step 4: Confirm Import

  1. Wait for AutoRFP to confirm the import with Confluence.

  2. You will see a confirmation message when the import is successful.

  3. Click Continue to proceed.


Step 5: Configure Content Settings

  1. Review imported documents in your content library.

  2. Assign tags to organize imported content (optional).

  3. Documents are now available for use in projects.
