Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Install the Application
Navigate to the AutoRFP Salesforce application installation link. Please note that each link is unique. Please contact your Account Manager for your unique installation link.
Follow the installation prompts.
Complete the installation process.
Verify installation was successful.
Part 1: Configuring Your Region
The AutoRFP widget needs to know which region to connect to for accessing your data.
Step 1: Navigate to Custom Metadata Types
In Salesforce, navigate to Setup.
Search for Custom Metadata Types in the Quick Find box.
Click Custom Metadata Types.
Step 2: Edit Region Config Page Layout
Open the Region Config custom metadata type.
Click Edit on the Page Layout.
3. Drag the Is Active field into the layout.
4.Click Save.
Step 3: Create New Region Config
Navigate back to the Custom Metadata Types page.
Locate Region Config and click Manage Records.
Click New.
Step 4: Enter Region Configuration
Enter a Label (you can name it anything, e.g., "AutoRFP Region").
The Region Config Name should auto-fill (you can change this if needed).
Select your Region from the dropdown:
AU (Australia)
EU (Europe)
US (United States)
Check the Mark as Active checkbox.
Important: This must be checked for the integration to work.
Click Save.
Part 2: Add Widget to Opportunity Record Page
Step 1: Navigate to Lightning App Builder
Click the Opportunities tab in Salesforce.
Select any opportunity record.
3. Click the βοΈ (gear icon) in the top right corner.
4. Select Edit Page.
Step 2: Add the AutoRFP Widget
In the Lightning App Builder, locate the components search bar on the left side.
Search for "autoRfpButton".
Drag the component onto your Opportunity Record page layout.
Position the widget where you want it to appear.
Unable to see the component? Confirm the following:
You have installed the app correctly
You are editing the Opportunity Record Page (not a different page type)
Step 3: Save and Activate the Page
Click Save in the top right corner.
If this is the first time editing this page, you may need to activate it.
Follow the activation wizard if prompted:
Choose activation options
Assign to profiles or apps as needed
Complete activation
Click Done or Finish.
What to Expect
After the page has been saved and activated, the AutoRFP button will now be visible and accessible on all Opportunities. Users can click it to initiate the RFP process directly from the Opportunity record.
