The AutoRFP.ai Salesforce app helps you access and create projects directly from Salesforce.

Installation

The AutoRFP.ai Salesforce application can be installed via the install link.

The AutoRFP.ai Projects Salesforce Application is not available in an Essentials Org.

Setup

The AutoRFP.ai Salesforce application contains a simple widget.

To set it up we need to:

  1. Configure your region so you can access your data from the relevant region

  2. Insert the widget onto the Opportunity Record page.

Part 1: Configuring your region

The overview of the process:

  1. Navigate to the Custom Metadata Types page

  2. Edit the Region Config to add an active flag

  3. Create a new Region Config

Navigate to the Custom Metadata Types page

Open the Region Config and Edit the Page Layout

Drag the "Is Active" field into the layout and click save

Create a new Region Config

  • Navigate back to the Custom Metadata Types page

  • Click Manage Records

  • Click New

Enter your region config

  • Enter a label (You can call it whatever you like)

  • The region config name should be auto filled (You can change this)

  • Select a Region (AU, EU, US)

  • Mark as Active (This is important for it to work)

Part 2: Add Widget

An overview of the process:

  1. Navigate to the Lightning App Builder for the Opportunity Record.

  2. Add the widget to your Opportunity Record Page.

  3. Save (and Activate) the Opportunity Record page.

Navigate to the Lightning App Builder for the Opportunity Record

Navigate to the Opportunities Tab

Select any opportunity

Click the βš™οΈ in the top right corner > Edit Page

Add the widget to your page

Search for "autoRfpButton" in the components search bar and drag it onto your page.

Unable to see the component? Please confirm the following

  1. You have installed the app correctly.

  2. You are editing the Opportunity Record Page

Save (and Activate) the Opportunity Record page.

Click Save.

If this is the first time you are editing this page you may need to activate it. If this is the case, simply follow the wizard.

Completed

After the page has been saved and activated, the AutoRFP button will now be visible and accessible on all Opportunities. Users can click it to initiate the RFP process directly from the Opportunity record.
