Importing Content from other Systems

This template makes it easy to import libraries from other systems, as you simply have to reformat the columns in the export file instead of manually copying data into the user interface.

The CSV template includes the following columns:

Project Name: This is the high level folder your content will be imported under.

File Name: The name of the original file

Date: The date that the project was last updated.

This must be in the format “YYYY-MM-DD” (for example, 2022-02-01) to be parsed correctly.

Note: the default date shown on the content card is be the day it was added to the system rather than the date the content was updated, which is what we are importing here. Hover over it to see the updated date.

Requirement: The question/requirement

Response: The answer/response

Tag Columns: Tag Categories to add to content items

For example: Tag_Product for a “Product” category and Tag_Market for a “Market” Category. Or just “Tag_Tag” for a generic tag category. If you want to apply multiple tags you can add them to the same cell, separated by comma then the next tag.

Example:

Once your inputs are complete, export or save the file as a .csv document with this name: AutoRFP.ai Upload Template.csv

Note: DO NOT edit or change the column headers or format of the import file. Only provide inputs in the cells below the headers.

Upload Your CSV File

Upload your new .csv file into the platform as you would any Project document. Note: You won't have to do any of the cutting or tagging steps when importing the CSV template.

  1. Click the "Add Content" button on the dashboard to get started.

2. Click the "Upload" button in the Project Section

3. Select your formatted template file

Drag the file or click the "+" button to add your formatted template. As soon as you have uploaded the template, the loading spinner should start and the import will begin.

If successful your file should upload and your file will appear as a project under content. You can now manage this as you would any other content in the system.

See below template with an example row for download.
