Article Summary
The Response-Level Agent replaces the previous AI Assistant with enhanced capabilities including direct response editing, knowledge base search, web search, and attachment referencing. Scoped to individual responses, the Agent can edit responses directly, search your content library with smart filtering, and provide contextual improvements based on the specific requirement.
Prerequisites
Active project with responses in AutoRFP
Editor or Reviewer role assigned, or general Admin permissions
Understanding of response editing workflow
Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1: Access the Response-Level Agent
Navigate to the Project Editor.
Click on a response you want to work on.
Click the pencil icon to open the Response Editor.
Locate the Agent panel.
Step 2: Ask the Agent to Edit Your Response
In the Agent chat, describe what changes you want:
"Make this more concise"
"Add more technical detail about our security features"
"Rewrite in a formal tone"
"Focus on benefits rather than features"
Press Enter to submit your request.
The Agent will directly edit the response for you.
Review the changes in the response editor. You will receive a side-by-side view of the applied changes for audibility.
Accept or request further modifications.
π‘ Note: If the response contains multi-response fields or response tables, the Agent cannot edit directly. Instead, it will explain the suggested improvements in the chat for you to implement manually.
Step 3: Search Your Knowledge Base
The Agent can search your content library to find relevant information.
π Default Scoped Search:
By default, the Agent searches using:
Tags on the current response
Files selected for the project
Ask questions like:
"What does our content say about data encryption?"
"Find information about our SOC 2 certification"
"Search for details on implementation timelines"
Agent returns relevant information from your scoped content.
π Search Across Everything:
Request the Agent to search your entire content library:
"Search all content for pricing information"
"Look across everything for GDPR compliance details"
Agent disables scoping and searches all available content.
Review broader results from your entire knowledge base.
Step 4: Search the Web
Ask the Agent to search the web for current information:
"Search the web for recent data breach statistics"
"Find current industry standards for API security"
"Look up recent regulatory changes in GDPR"
Agent performs web search and returns findings.
Use web results to enhance your response with current data.
Step 5: Reference Uploaded Attachments
Ask the Agent to reference specific attachments:
"What does the technical specification document say about this?"
"Reference the pricing spreadsheet for this answer"
"Use information from the uploaded RFP document"
Agent analyzes attachments and provides relevant information.
Incorporate attachment details into your response.
π‘Tips & Best Practices
Be specific about changes you want: "Make the first paragraph more concise" vs. "Improve this"
Review Agent edits before accepting β always verify
Use attachments for project-specific information not in your content library
Ask the Agent to compare attachment info with response content
βπΌ Common Mistakes to Avoid
Not reviewing Agent edits before accepting β always verify accuracy and appropriateness
Expecting the Agent to edit multi-response fields or tables directly β these formats require manual editing
Using only scoped search when information exists elsewhere in the library β disable scoping when needed
Not uploading relevant attachments before asking the Agent to reference them
Asking vague questions instead of specific requests β be clear about what you need
Forgetting that the Response Agent is scoped to an individual response β use the Project Agent for multi-response work
