Step-by-Step Instructions
With the Edit Project function, you can add and modify the criteria of an ongoing project. This includes the ability to add another file, modify your selections (requirements, responses, compliance, etc), update compliance levels, refine the content selection, and change the project deadlines.
Adding Files to an Existing Project
Step 1: Select Your Project
- Navigate to the Project Editor inside a live project and select Edit Project (top right corner) 
- Select Add Files 
- Upload your additional file(s). 
- The project importer opens with your new file. 
Step 2: Make Selections
- Select requirements, responses, sections, and other elements as needed. 
- Follow the same selection process as initial project creation. 
- Click Complete or Update when finished. 
Step 3: Review New Requirements
- New requirements appear in your Project Editor. 
- AutoRFP begins generating responses for new requirements. 
- Continue working on the project as normal. 
Editing Selections Inside a File
Step 1: Select Edit Selections
- In the Edit Project modal, click Edit Selections. 
- The project importer opens with your existing file(s). 
Step 2: Modify Selections
- Add new requirements by clicking on them in the document. 
- Remove existing requirements by unmarking them. 
- Adjust compliance, sections, or other selections as needed. 
Step 3: Review Changes Overview
- After making changes, review the overview of all modifications. 
- Check additions and deletions carefully. 
- Confirm changes. 
⛔️ Warning: Deleted requirements are permanently removed along with their drafted responses and cannot be recovered.
Alternative Method - Add Single Requirements:
- Click the + button at the bottom of the Project Editor view. 
- Enter the requirement details. 
- Save to add to the project. 
Updating Content Selections and Regenerating Responses
Step 1: Update Content Sources
- In the Edit Project modal, click Content Selections. 
- Select new content you want the response engine to reference. 
- Add recently uploaded content library materials. 
- Include content previously excluded. 
- Deselect content sources no longer relevant. 
- Click Update to save changes. 
Step 2: Regenerate Multiple Responses
- Navigate to the Project Editor. 
- Use filters to narrow down specific files, sections, or subsections you'd like to update. 
- Select requirements you want to regenerate using checkboxes on the left margin. 
- To select all visible requirements, tick the top left box. 
- Click Regenerate in the bulk actions toolbar. 
- A confirmation dialog appears warning that responses will be overwritten. 
- Click OK to confirm. 
- New responses begin generating using the updated content sources. 
Step 3: Regenerate a Single Response
- Click on the requirement text (the bold question or statement). 
- Click Re-Answer. 
- System generates a new response using current content sources. 
Important: To run the updates, you need to regenerate your responses. AutoRFP will not update them automatically

- Use filters to focus on specific sections when editing large projects 
- Double-check deletions—they're permanent and cannot be undone 
- Regenerate in small batches first to evaluate quality improvements 
- Target Low Trust responses when adding new content 
- Avoid regenerating approved responses unless necessary

- Regenerating all responses without reviewing - overwrites all human edits
