AutoRFP makes it easy to export your responses directly into your existing templates. This is especially useful when you receive PDF questionnaires without space for your responses directly in the customers document.

How It Works

  1. Add simple placeholders to your existing templates.

  2. AutoRFP recognises these placeholders and inserts your responses accordingly.

  3. The rest of your template remains unchanged.

Creating a Response Template

  1. Start with your existing proposal or questionnaire response template.

  2. Add the following placeholders where you want your responses to appear:

    • [Section]

    • [Subsection]

    • [Requirement]

    • [Response]

  3. Style each placeholder using the formatting you want for that type of content.

Uploading your Template

  1. Go to Organisation -> Export Settings

  2. Click the "Create New" button

  3. Give your template a name, optionally a description and upload the file created in the previous steps and you're good to go!

Using your Template

Once your template is created, you'll be able to select it whenever you are exporting responses from a file that was imported as a PDF.

Updating the Table of Contents

  1. Add a Table of Contents to your Document if you don't already have one

  2. Ensure each placeholder is in a paragraph with the appropriate style (e.g., [Section] in 'Heading 1').

  3. After exporting, right-click on the table of contents and select "Update Field" to refresh it.

Additional Features

AutoRFP can also replace the following placeholders:

  • [Customer Name]: Replaced with the customers name

  • [Project Name]: Replaced with the current project name

  • [Date]: Replaced with the export date

You can find an example proposal template attached below.
