Response Version History provides a complete timeline of changes made to a response. It tracks which user made each change, timestamps of when changes were made, and allows users to restore previous versions if needed.

Accessing Version History

Open any response by clicking the pencil icon on the right side of the Project Editor view.

Click the "History" tab in the navigation panel below the response and writing actions.

What Gets Tracked

Response History automatically records the following events:

  • Initial generation: When AutoRFP.ai first generates a response

  • Updates to content: When editors modify the response text

  • Regeneration: When a user requests the AI to regenerate a response

  • Assignment changes: When editors or reviewers are added or removed

  • Status changes: When a response is submitted for review or approved

  • Requested changes: When reviewers request modifications

How and When Updates are Tracked

  • Updates by the same user within a 30-minute window are grouped as one entry

  • Each new update by a different person creates a separate entry

  • Status changes and assignment changes always create new entries

Restoring Previous Versions

To restore a previous version of a response:

  1. Navigate to the History tab

  2. Find the version you want to restore

  3. Click the "Restore" button below that version

Note: You cannot restore versions when:

  • The response is already approved

  • The version matches the current response

Best Practices

  • Use the history tab to understand how a response evolved over time

  • Review previous versions before submitting or approving responses

  • Restore earlier versions if needed rather than manually rewriting content
